Initial Psychiatric

Assessment for Medication Evaluation and Psychotherapy

The initial visit is comprehensive to learn about your concerns and also collect information about your past medical history. For psychotherapy- we determine your goals for therapy.

For those requiring medication, through the use of evidence-based research and knowledge, we determine the best medication for your mental health diagnosis

Typically lasts 60-90 minutes. Medical, psychiatric, and social histories are reviewed and discussed.  At the end of this session, we will provide a diagnosis, as well as an initial evidence-based treatment plan and medication recommendations. Medications can help alleviate and manage symptoms. We will also provide appropriate psycho-education and support.

Psychiatric Follow-up and Medication Management

For patients on psychiatric meds, or those that may require meds to control mental health symptoms, an initial visit will be done to assess medical history, and follow-ups are done to evaluate the effectiveness of the medication and assess for possible side effects.

Typically lasts 30 minutes. We will evaluate the effectiveness of medication(s) as well as any possible side effects that may occur.

Psychotherapy

With the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, and Supportive Therapy, we delve into your thoughts, feelings and actions that affect your life and your relationships.
